Richard & Judy autumn picks announced

Richard & Judy,  in partnership with WHSmith, have announced their selection for the autumn bookclub.  In the year since the bookclub was launched over three million copies of the selected titles have been sold.  The latest crop includes the wonderfully named The Particular Sadness of Lemon Cake and the Booker Prize long-listed Jamrach’s Menagerie.  The first book to be reviewed is The End of Everything by Megan Abbott, a story of innocence lost and burgeoning sexuality.

I never quite manage to get round to reading all of the books Richard & Judy suggest but there’s always something in there that interests me so I’m looking forward to a closer look at the list and seeing which ones take my fancy this time.

  1. The selection looks quite good this time around. Everyone raves about Lisa Genova so I’m really pleased that she made the list. Everything and Nothing also grabs my attention. I’m sure I’ll get around to reading a few of them in the next few months.
