Costa Launch Short Story Competition

Costa Coffee, sponsors of the annual Costa Book Awards, have today launched a short story competition.  The competition is open to English language writers aged 18 and above and invites writers to submit a previously unpublished story of up to 4,000 words.  A team of judges including author Victoria Hislop and Spandau Ballet’s Gary Kemp will announce a short-list of six which will then be put to a public vote.  The winner will be announced at the Costa Book Awards ceremony in January 2013 and receive a prize of £3,500.

This is a great opportunity for short story writers and I’ve already got my own story bubbling away.  For more details visit the Costa website.
